Deaf Football Federation of Kenya successfully conducted national team selections, bringing together talented Deaf footballers from across the country.
These young athletes travelled from different regions of Kenya — many of them students representing their schools — united by one dream: to wear the Kenyan colors and compete on the world stage.
The selection process was intense.
Players demonstrated skill, discipline, teamwork, and resilience.
From this pool of incredible talent, 22 outstanding players were selected to form Kenya’s squad for the upcoming championship.

Heavy rains made it difficult for the federation to access ideal training facilities during the selection period.
In the spirit of community and support, Highway Secondary School generously offered their playing field so the trials could continue.
Although the field conditions were muddy and slippery due to the rains, the determination of the players never faded.
If anything, the challenging conditions revealed something powerful:
true talent rises even when the ground beneath it is uncertain.
Despite the weather and the difficult pitch, the selection was completed successfully.
And from that determination, Kenya’s Deaf U23 national team was born.

At the moment, the pre-camp is self-sponsored by the federation and the players themselves.
